{Sunday Adventure}

The weather was so gorgeous today that Laura, Miss LB and I decided to take a little local road trip. We went to Juliette, Georgia. Juliette is an unincorporated community in Monroe County, Georgia. Named for Juliette McCracken, daughter of a railroad engineer. The movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" was filmed there, and the town has been the focal point of a few other small movies and books. After the filming of Fried Green Tomatoes, the sets used for the town's main street were renovated into a tourist district, complete with a fully operational "Whistle Stop Cafe". It's a nice little day trip if you have never been. Here are some pictures from our little adventure.

{Practice, Practice!}

If you want to become a good musician, you have to practice. If you want to compete in the Olympics, you have to practice. If you want to cook dinner at night in 15 minutes without having to think about it...practice. I am enjoying all this practice with my camera, but as you can tell by the look on Miss LB's face in a few of the pictures, she could do without "mamarazzi".

{Down on the Farm}

In nature, there is nothing prettier to me than the sun arriving from behind the hills and announcing the beautiful morning on a farm. I often admire the people who get to enjoy those simple pleasures, although they are some of the hardest workers.

Pictures of farm animals and equipment tend to make me think of the simple life some farmers live. A back to basics, debt free sort of life with hard work that keeps them occupied and grounded so they don't have a lot of time to think about the grass being greener elsewhere. Simplicity is somewhat boring most of the time, but every once in a while it can be...well...simply beautiful!

{Manic Monday}

I am convinced we all should stay in bed on Monday mornings for at least two more hours. I think it would make the rest of the week SO much better. Unfortunately, that's not an option for most of us. {Snow Day}

FINALLY!
Georgia Got Some Snow! YAY!!! LB and the dogs could not have been more excited (Mommy and Daddy too). We spent a few hours playing while the flakes were falling and went back out the next morning before it melted. I thought the rare snow would be a great beginning for my blog! Enjoy!
